CS 100 (Learn)CS 100 (Web)Module 00

Course Format (Fall 2021)

The content of this course will be a combination of:

Ironically, we were planning on transitioning CS 100 from an online course to a more "traditional" in-class format.

In the Fall of 2020 we were scheduled to be 50% online and 50% in-class.

Needless to say, with the arrival of a global pandemic and more remote learning, our plans have changed.

We are currently planning to update/replace some of the videos and add new videos for some of the readings.

Unfortunately, Fall 2021 will still be a transitional term and we will not be able to update all the content.

We have provided written transcripts for each of the videos. Corrections in the video have been marked with strikethrough, and alternative wording has been placed in [square brackets] to correct some awkward phrasing in the videos.

Changes for Fall 2021

Because there are no in-person exams this Fall, we have modified the format of this course.

We have reduced the total amount of content in the course and we will have three midterms instead of a final exam. We have also "squeezed" what would normally be week one (Module 00) and week two (Module 01) into a single week.

More information can be found on the grading section of the course website.

We may provide some of the removed content for information only (i.e., it will not appear on assignments or exams), but we will clearly identify that content.
