If you're familiar with this material, you could read this section and possibly skip the videos on latches and flip-flops. However, the presentation on the Register File is very brief, and you'll need to watch the weekly wrap-up for more on the Register File.

Be advised that the book authors use the term "D latch" and "D flipflop" to refer to both of what we call a "D flipflop" in the videos. Ie, we discuss a separate piece of hardware called the D-latch that is used to build D-flipflops.
