Washare

A car-wash card sharing application! Split the costs with your friends.

Martin Choi, Rishi Keny, Matthew Sekirin, Jerry Wang

Many car owners struggle with the high cost of car washes, especially during the winter when regular washes are necessary. Season passes often aren’t worth the cost for individuals, as they require significantly more frequent use than most people realistically need or can fit into their routine. A system that enables users to share season passes affordably and reliably can make them more accessible and cost-effective by splitting the cost among multiple users.

WatCourse

A fancy cool app that makes selecting, saving, and sharing your term courses that much easier! :)

Alia Cai, Johnson Ji, Monica Trinh, Steven Gu

The current method for building and viewing class schedules for students at the University of Waterloo is absolutely atrocious. We are busy enough as it is, and the stresses associated with ensuring that we have actual classes to go to each semester compounds on our woes, cementing our eventual academic demise. This problem primarily stems from everyone’s eternal adversary: the Quest Enroll feature. The calendar display is unusable, the schedule export functionality is non-existent, course search features feel tedious and confusing, and there’s no visual cues during the process of class rearrangement. We aim to fix this.
