Project Setup

Project Setup

In the first two weeks of the course, you will need to find a team and setup your team’s project space in GitLab. Make sure to review the project guidelines before you proceed.

Step 1. Form your team.

Your first step is to find a team! Form the project team describes the steps to register your team in Learn and get a team number.

Step 2. Setup your GitLab project.

Next, you can create and setup your GitLab project space for your team. This is where all of your project artifacts, including source code, will be stored.

Step 3. Create your Git repository.

Finally, you can setup your Git repository (don’t worry, you don’t need to write source code yet, you’ll just add a couple of skeleton files to your repository).

Step 4. Create a Gradle project.

You should create a starting project that builds in Gradle (you don’t need much code yet, you just need something that helps you confirm that everyone can access it and build on their machines).

Step 5. Submit your project.

When you have completed the steps above, please submit for grading.

Login to Learn, navigate to Submit > Dropbox > Project Setup, and submit a link to your top-level project page from GitLab. This is important, since it’s the only way we have of easily locating your repository!

This step must be completed by 6:00 PM on the listed time and date.

⚠️
Note that only one person on the team needs to submit this link. This is a team dropbox, so everyone will be credited with the submission.
