Using quiesce on an object list

The Quiesce utility can be run on an object list directly, without the use of a Utility Procedure.

An object list is a collection of predefined objects such as indexes or table spaces that can be referred to in order to run a utility on all of the objects in the object list using only a single command.

To quiesce an object list:

  1. Open the Quiesce Object List window.

  2. Specify whether you want to write saved changes to a DASD device with the Yes or No radio buttons.

  3. Optional: Select the to open a the Change Error Processing window.


  4. Click the Run Now push button to run the utility.

  5. Click the Save push button to open the Save to Utility Procedure window.


Note: The Quiesce utility can not be run on object lists that contain objects other then Table Spaces.
