In order that the best use be made of time during office hours,
especially as there are midterms this week in both courses I am
teaching, I would like to remind you of their appropriate use.<p>

If you are unclear on lecture material, please come prepared with
specific questions.  In particular, if you didn't bother to make the
time to attend my lecture in the first place, don't expect me to give
you a mini-lecture in my office.<p>

Although I am happy to help you through your own 
work on any question from any source, it is not a good use of anyone's
time for me to spend office hours giving you answers to old exam
questions. <p>
