Volume Rendering Project - Results

These images were generated using a little interactive volume renderer I wrote for cs488 at  University of Waterloo.  The program runs on a SGI Octane and can render 2563 voxel data sets in approximately one second (using a 225 MHz MIPS R10000 microprocessor).

Maximum Intensity Projection of a human head. A quite colorful transfer function. An example of Phong Shading.

Some more Phong Shading. Zero-order interpolation of a MRI dataset. The same dataset with a different transfer function.

A head with real shadows. An engine with real shadows.
