Team AA group of executives and upper-management employees at a relatively large, multi-site, multi-project, software company is proposing an open company platform under which most, if not all, key company documents describing business plans, and in-progress projects, will become shareable and trackable across web-based portals and therefore available to all (or most) company employees. The goal is to create a more inclusive, transparent corporate environment that takes advantage of the many ways employees can communicate and share information.
Team BA group of company employees who worry that the open-company platform, because of its inherent focus on internal sharing of information, will expose smaller company subgroups and individuals to increased scrutiny and competition for resources. This group worries that the voices of small company subgroups and individuals will be lost within the larger company structure, especially if they propose more challenging or riskier projects or solutions, and this will ultimately stifle creativity and reduce the ability of the company to react quickly to external pressure.
