Assignment 3 is due on Monday, March 16th. It should be roughly 1250 words in length.
Do current computer technologies, including communication, VR, and app technologies, change their users?
If so, in what ways are the users of computer technologies being changed? If you think that people are changed by computer technology, please identify the changes, and comment on whether they are positive or negative. From the perspective of the tech users, are the changes expected, or unexpected?
If you think that tech is changing it's users, do you think the changes are perceptible at the individual level, the societal level, or both? How are they apparent? Do you think these changes (if any) affect all users in the same way, or to the same degree?
If you think that computer technology is not changing its users, please explain your position.
Your essay should have a title and it should be largely self contained; that is, please explain the context and any assumptions needed to understand the points you are making. You may focus on one or more elements of computer technology, or treat "computer technology" as an interconnected whole. Provide bibliographic information (references) if needed.
The purpose of the essay is to identify and discuss some of the changes in individuals and/or broader social changes engendered by the use of computing technology.
