BSpline Surfaces In ToolSim

Basic Objectives:

• Use spline surface to aproximate swept surface with cylinder
  • use bspline tensor product (with knots apropratly set to interpolate end points)
  • use least squares to fit curves
  • use tool motion to compute middle two curves of the bspline tensor
• display the bspline tensor using gluNurbs

  • Experimantal Error Analysis
  • Intersection with surface for cutting stock
  • Swept surfaces for sphere, cone, tours.
