Schedule for Nov 24 and Dec 1, showing project presentation slots Below is the current placeholder for Nov 24 and Dec 1. This respects date preferences per the poll conducted in class Oct 27. There are parts of these dates without presentations that are very important for everyone to be alert for (highlighted in parentheses). With more presentations on Dec 1, we end up going past 12noon on that date for the important end-of-term discussion, just FYI. The expectation is still that everyone will be present for ALL of both dates. A name below indicates when that person's project presentation will run. I have also logged below my first mockup of the schedule for those two dates. Those presenting later have more time to compile their slides. We will not be judging the content of the project, when assigning a grade to the talk. We will assess whether you were able to successfully convey what you are working on, planning to work on, at whatever point you are, with your progress. Is your talk coherent, is your delivery effective and was some depth of understanding shown, will be considered. New note: As a reminder, we don't have much spare time during our last two classes. If you have a comment for one of the speakers that might help them to finalize their final project, please send that along in email to them. My broadcasts to the class make everyone's email contact clear. ========================================== Earlier mockup: Talks are 10 minutes long and pre-recorded, sent to Gaurav (he will say how). I have budgeted about 10 minutes at the end to give quick feedback to all speakers and I will pass along comment sheets soon after class (both on projected project and on presentation).
