Deliverable 2 is a complete list of WUIM assumptions, exceptions, variations compiled from the WUIM Vision Document.

An assumption is anything that must be true about the real world in order for the operations described in the WUIM Vision Document to work as described. For now, write down all the assumptions that you can find, whether or not they are true of the real world. (Later, i.e., not in this deliverable, you will decide what the WUIM software does about each assumption, A:

WUIM

• does nothing because A is true of the real world,
• if A is not true of the real world, WUIM acts as if A is true, or
• if A is not true of the real world, WUIM provides functionality that eliminates the need for A.

An exception is any condition that may cause a described operation in the WUIM Vision Document not to work as described. These may overlap with assumptions. If so, just say so in each case, i.e., that an assumption is also an exception.

A variation is any way that an operation might need to be done that differs from that described for it in the WUIM Vision Document.

Please make one numbered sublist for assumptions, one numbered sublist for exceptions, and one numbered sublist for variations. If an item is in more than one sublist, you can have all but the first refer to the first by its index in its sublist.

Include in this deliverable also a sublist of any questions that you may have about the WUIM Vision Document. Now that you have seen user stories for an agile development of the WUIM software, and have made a domain model of WUIM's world, you may have questions that need clarification. There may be parts of the Vision Document that are not clear to you. Here's your chance to ask them, particularly if they are not covered by assumptions, exceptions, and variations.

Each group will prepare its deliverable in a .txt file, one item per line, however you define ``item''. Please do not turn in anything but a .txt file, because we want to form a single file with all of the deliverables, and doing so will be impossible if they are in different formats.

You will need to submit only an electronic copy of this deliverable:

• The electronic copy should be emailed to the course account with the subject "CS445 Deliverable Group XX" where XX is your group number, with a leading zero if it's less than 10. The file name for the same deliverable should be "D2-GXX.pdf" where XX is your group number as before. PLEASE use this subject line and file name; otherwise it is difficult for us to organize all of the submissions. Deliverable 1 must be in TXT format.
