In addition to the design project, there will be three in-lab assignments that will ask you to apply tools and techniques discussed in the text, in lecture, or in tutorial.  These include

Technical memo and Team contract (Week 3)  (5%)
For this assignment, you are asked to write a clear, technical memo; attached to the memo should be a signed team contract.

Scheduling Exercise (Weeks 7, 9)  (5%)
In this assignment, you are asked to schedule your time over the ten days leading up to the day that the Design Report is due.   Record both your plan and the actual time spent in two separate charts.

Ethics Memo (Week 10)  (10%)
For this assignment, you will write a fictitious memo to your boss analyzing a difficult workplace situation, a description of which will be provided by the instructor.
