CS 146: Elementary Algorithm Design and Data Abstraction (Advanced Version)

Quizzes

Logistics

In CS146, there will be weekly quizzes that will review content from previous weeks. Quizzes can be accessed through the course LEARN page when available, which will usually be the duration of the week. They will be made available Monday afternoons and will be due Fridays at 10:00 PM, and worth 5% of a student's final grade. These quizzes have no academic integrity restrictions, so students can feel free to discuss quiz questions with each other. However, keep in mind that you will only get out of the quiz what you put into it. If you simply ask someone for answers straightaway, you will not learn as well as someone who gave the quiz an honest attempt.

Quiz Information

Students will be given an unlimited number of attempts for each quiz, and so quizzes may be re-attempted until a perfect grade is achieved. However, after an attempt is complete, the only feedback that will be given is whether the attempt was Perfect or Not Perfect. This leaves it up to the student to analyze what was wrong with their responses in preparation for their next attempt.

Quiz Results

After the deadline has passed, students will be able to view which questions they answered correctly/incorrectly, as well as detailed feedback and explanations for each question. If you missed writing a quiz, you will not be able to view the feedback/explanations by default. If this happens, you can contact one of the course ISAs to give you special access to the quiz.
