The course notes covered in the lectures are available for download and are the same as the slides shown in class. A paper copy of the course notes is available on-demand from W Print.

CS343 does NOT use Learn.

Administration Video

There is a video CS343_Course_Admin.mp4 covering ALL the administration aspects of the course. While this video is from 2023, 95% of the material is the same today as then.

Using this web page as a starting point familiarize yourself with the pages showing the current course staff, grading scheme, etc. If you can't find something on the website, the video goes into great detail about both the website and the administration of the course.

Assessment

See course assessment for due dates, marks, final grade calculation, and how to view your marks throughout the term. The six programming assignments have fixed deadlines at two week intervals, the midterm is 2 hours, and the final exam is 2.5 hours. The exams are closed-book and held during the specified time slot on the calendar of classes/exam schedule. Details on assignments and exams are posted as the course progresses.
