Advanced Algorithms

Announcements:

• (December 8, 2009) Apparently, the solutions to A4 are not visible to you at the library. (They are visible to me.) So I'll repost them (with a few minor corrections) here in PDF/PS.
• (December 4, 2009) Solutions to A5 will be available from the library course reserve as soon as the library has processed my request.
• (December 4, 2009) An old final:
  • by T. Chan. Ignore Q1(a), Q2 except (e), Q3 and Q5.
  • I have emailed other instructors to see whether they will let me publish their old finals, but can't promise anything.
• (December 2, 2009) Therese's office hours next week will be Tuesday, Dec. 8, 10:30-11:30 (not the usual time.) Elena's office hours will be unchanged, Monday, Dec. 7, 4:00-5:00.
• (November 25, 2009) Final exam time slots are now posted. Please email me with your preferred date and time.
• (October 28, 2009) I've been asked to post some information about what you should do in case you contract H1N1 flu.
• (October 22, 2009) Here are some old midterms:
  • by T. Chan. Ignore Q1(a-c), 2(a), 5.
  • by I. Munro. Ignore Q1-3.
  • A cs341 final by myself. This one is more for knowing my style of asking questions, but some of the questions fit cs466 as well.
  Studying assignments from previous course offerings is also helpful. Note that you can get from each cs466 page to a previous offering via a link near the top.
• (October 21, 2009) There will be an extra office hour on Monday, October 26, 10-11am.
• (October 21, 2009) Our final exam will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 12:30-3pm in RCH 211.
• (October 11, 2009) Assignment 1 solution-sketches (as well as various useful textbooks) are available from the library course reserves.
